PDP NWC Moves against Femi Fani-Kayode

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  has asked the Osun state chapter of the party to determine the membership and financial status of the former Minister of Aviation and Director of Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign, Femi Fani kayode.

Femi Fani-Kayode had on Tuesday alleged that the NWC members led by Mu'azu was responsible for PDP’s massive failure.

He said, "Instead of leading the party, these few individuals in the NWC were busy doing deals with the APC secretly. We in the PCO were not like others that were collecting monies from all the various PDP aspirants in the states and promising them the party’s nomination and ticket.

“From day one all they did was sulk about the fact that a Presidential Campaign Organisation had been set up and that they would not be able to have control of the campaign themselves or have access to the resources that we were given. At every point they tried to undermine our efforts and sabotage us but we ignored them and remained focused on doing our job despite their provocations.
"From day one all they were interested in was in controlling others and telling them what to do. They were not in the fray, they refused to enter the heat of battle and all they did was moan and bicker from the side walk like little children.
"What we were doing and attempting to do was lost on them because they had never taken anything seriously and they found it hard to comprehend the logic and style of those of us that did it."
Reacting to what Fani Kayode said, the, NWC of PDP in a letter to the Osun state chapter of PDP, signed by the National secretary, Wale Oladipo, said ‎, "The NWC at its meeting on Wednesday 20th May, 2015, reviewed the press war mounted against the NWC by Femi Fani-Kayode.
"Consequently, the NWC requested Osun state chairman of the PDP to among others, investigate the membership of Femi Fani Kayode. If he is a registered and financial member, proper disciplinary actions should be meted against Femi Fani-Kayode through his ward for engaging in acts contrary to section 58 (1) b of the party constitution.

"If not a member, you are to reprimand him as an usurper
"All actions taken should be communicated to the NWC."

Meanwhile, Oladipo has announced the setting up of a seven man disciplinary committee to ensure discipline in the party.

Femi Fani-Kayode has responded the  allegation through Channels TV, below is what he said;
"The issue they addressed in their letter will be addressed by the people they wrote their letter to. I will not dignify that kind of rubbish with any kind of response. What I am trying to tell you is that I will not be put on the defensive here. Those that need to be on the defensive are those that cheated their party members, Those that lied to their party members, those that betrayed the presidential campaign organization and sought to degrade us and ensured that we couldn't do our job.
These are the people that have questions to answer and I am saying to you, I am reiterating a call of the overwhelming majority of party members, overwhelming number of governors, overwhelming number of elder statesmen within the party. And that call is simply this, They should resign. That is the issue for us. And we are happy that Muazu had finally answered the call and done the honorable thing. When will Metuh do it? When will Oladipo do it? When will the rest of them do it? That is what we are waiting for. So its not about Femi Fani Kayode. Its not about my record in public office. What it is about is that their time is long overdue and they need to go. And the other issue is that I stand by what we said yesterday. All the comments we made about them. Their ineptitude their greed and their cowardice and their malicious intent"he said
