According to Channels TV reports, the website of the Independent Electoral Commision (INEC) has been restored and fully operational.
In a tweet on its twitter handle the commission said “it is aware of
the recent hack of its website and it is currently investigating the
incident”.
After the website was hacked, the INEC dropped the content added to
the website by the hacker and wrote: “We will be back soon! Sorry for
the inconvenience but we are performing some maintenance at the moment.
We will be back online shortly! Site should be back up soon”.
The spokesman for the commission told Channels Television that
engineers of the commission restored the website, assuring Nigerians
that there was nothing to worry about.
